I · The Awakening

In the beginning, there were the gods.

Above a sea of golden cloud, the summit of Olympus holds a temple older than memory.

Three thrones in the dark.

Zeus

King of Olympus. He split the sky to remind the proud who rules it.

Earth-shaker. The tide still answers to his trident.

Broken temple floor collapsing into a torch-lit shaft full of rising embers

The ground of heaven gives way.

Marble splits. The light of the summit is swallowed by fire.

A vast cavern with the glowing river Styx, Charon's ferry and the gates of Hades

Charon waits on the Styx, and every soul pays the ferryman.
